About Eneo...

Eneo Cameroon is the incumbent electricity producer and distributor in Cameroon.
In collaboration with other players in the electricity sector, Eneo's ambition is to provide reliable energy and quality of service at an affordable price, while striving to become a model of governance.
With around 55% of installed capacity in Cameroon, Eneo Cameroon maintains, develops and operates a generating fleet of 1,018 MW, including 963 MW under its own management and 55 MW with partners under its license.
It comprises 43 power plants, including the country's three historic hydroelectric plants (Songloulou, Edéa and Lagdo), as well as thermal power plants, hybrid power plants and solar farms.
The distribution network comprises 19,016 km of medium-voltage lines and 18,177 km of low-voltage lines, with wooden, metal or concrete poles, transformers installed in small cabins or high up on poles in neighborhoods, and bare medium-voltage and insulated low-voltage cables.
In all, Eneo's distribution network comprises some 15,000 transformers.
Since 2014, Eneo has connected an average of 100,000 new households and businesses every year. This represents around 10 million additional Cameroonians with secure access to electricity, helping to increase the rate of access to electricity in Cameroon from 56% in 2014 to 71% in 2022, with a projection of 73% for 2023 and 75% for 2024.
A mixed capital company, Eneo's shareholders are the Actis investment fund (51%), the State of Cameroon (44%) and the workforce (5%).
Its 3,600 employees are guided by the values of Integrity, Commitment, Respect and Cohesion, and contribute to the transformation and improvement of the country's electricity service.
